“We give children back a part of their childhood that was taken away from them by cancer.”

Overview of the Center

Mission

THE MORGAN CENTER is a 501(c)(3) not for profit charitable organization dedicated to providing preschool age children who are undergoing treatment for cancer the opportunity to interact and socialize, in a safe environment that stimulates cognitive and social development. Children on chemotherapy treatment have a suppressed immune system, and could otherwise risk infection and serious illness by attending typical age appropriate preschool programs.

THE MORGAN CENTER operates on a typical ten month school calendar from September to June and accepts enrollments on a rolling basis as space permits throughout the year. THE MORGAN CENTER takes special precautions to limit exposure to germs including special cleanings and supplies, modified activities and adherence to specific codes of conduct.

THE MORGAN CENTER is provided free of charge to the children and their families. Tuition and expenses are completely supported by private donations and fundraising. Conveniently located close to the L.I.E. and the Nassau/Suffolk border on Long Island, THE MORGAN CENTER is easily accessible.
